Japanese girls – Tokyo Fashion

Theres a look book of Tokyo fashion floating around the house and I’ve been sketching some of the images. Here are a couple I did with my brush-pen and ink.

Caricatures from Feast your Eyes

So, drawing in a live setting with an expectant subject and curious onlookers in permanent ink is a pretty relaxing thing……… </sarcasm>.

Seriously though, I hadn’t done this in a while and I needed the extra shot of confidence and experience. Especially if I want this to be a regular thing. Turned out rather well I thought – although I was surprised that it was mostly girls who wanted caricatures done.

Anyway, I think once I get over the nerves and relax a little I’ll be able to take a few more risks and push these illustrations a little further. And get the time down. There were a few folks who waited till the end and missed out. Turned out I still had ink and paper, but ran out of minutes! Ah well, I’m sure there will be another gig soon and I will let you all know.

Here are some of the caricatures I did last night.

By the way, if I did one of you, and you have access to a scanner I would be your friend forever if you could scan it and send it to me. I will post it up on caricaturesbyjeff.com

Cheers ^_^

An impromptu photoshoot with Levon

Levon got tux’d up for a pic for his birthday invite. I figured we might as well get some more pics since he had gone to all that effort. So here are a few of them.

Sketches from our recent sketchmeet

Got together with some fellow sketchers at Greens & Co over the weekend. Here are some of the sketches I did during the day.  Medium used was my new ink-filled brushpens and watercolour.

Dr Sketchys 5 October 2011

Tried some of the new ink with the new brushes and watercolours last night at Dr. Sketchys. Ella Jezebella was the model. She did some voodoo priestess stuff and later turned into a go-go dancer. Not bad.

Commission: April O’Squeal

First caricature of someone as an animal. Apparently someone accidentally mistook “O’Squeal” as “O’Squirrel” and the name stuck. Gold. Also a box of cats for lulz.
