These are some of the storyboards I did for the upcoming production of 50 Hail Mary’s by Matt Hodgkinson. It’s a horror/thriller and made for some cool drawings.

this is a lot of fun and so full of educational goodness. Trying to effectively represent various materials is abit of a challenge. Like this one has denim (jacket) and wool (beanie). Paying attention to composition also helps to define your edges etc. Overall there is still a high level of noobiness but with practice i shd get alot better
the victim is the effervescent Mahesh Jadu who is doing a damn good job of trying to appear poignant.
How’s this for a t-shirt haha. And if you want to wear it you can! Just click the image to jump to my “shop”.

After spending about 4 hours watching digital painting tutorials, I couldn’t wait any longer and put this together. Since its my first proper digital painting I’m sure that in time looking back on this attempt will make me cringe (assuming I get better). Still, I’m still basking in the warm glow of a new accomplishment so imma post away.

The reference is my mate Luc who happened to have a cool pic floating about that I took to. I focused on studying tonal values than trying to get a likeness.
I had a little batman head. I had a little hellboy head. They wanted to be together, so i came up with a vaguely plausible title and um.. yeh
I did this piece for Jason. He has epic biceps, hence the title. Unfortunately because of the print size required I had to crop out the biceps.. ironically because they were so big. (lol). Happy birthday champ!

More victims of my cafe drawing rampage across perth - including Gloria Jeans at Hillarys and Exomod Cafe in Mount Lawley.
Well its now called Autodesk Sketchbook Pro but regardless of the name, DAMN. This is one hot piece of kit. Especially when combined with my Cintiq. I was up till nearly 3AM last night mucking around with these two bad boys. Here’s one of my sketches - should really make a habit of drawing at 3AM… the inpiration gods r kind at that time.
14 more days till the trial runs out.. sigh
Heres a few more colourful people who walk up and down Beaufort street. Some are straight from my imagination, but all inspired nonetheless by the wonderful characters you find in Mount Lawley.
I *may* have consumed milk that was abit optimistic on the expiry date. Now we wait and see what happens. Hopefully nothing.. I’m feeling optimistic
Update: Well I felt crook all day but survived with all my stomach contents intact. I guess soy milk is a little more forgiving on ones digestive system
I hate it when i try to draw a caricature of Jack Nicholson, but it winds up looking like Kim Jong Il. It wasn’t even a great caricature of him either. Sigh
sketches of random passers by, ppl waiting at the bus stop and ppl having coffee at Exomod Cafe in Mount Lawley.
From memory, the large chap with the akubra was waiting for about 20 minutes at the bus-stop one sunday morning. The rest are a mish-mash of people I saw during the week.
Every now n then, i check out the profile pics of my mates on facebook and do up some quick caricatures. Heres one of those poor guys
