The 2014 Spirit of the Square program (1 - 25 December) featured several new creative commissions including public art installations, video games made by independent designers, audio-visual performances by multimedia artists, craft workshops and much more - all of which creates and engaging and immersive urban playground that is entirely free to the public.
For the Spirit of the Square creative, Melbourne-based illustration artist, Jeffrey Phillips was commissioned to transform this atmosphere into an playful, sketched world. See his work in this video, which has been brought to life through the animation skills of 77Post. The video plays daily Fed Square's large, outdoor screen throughout the program. You can also take home your own sketched Fed Square Christmas card or be lucky enough to have Jeffrey sketch you while you visit Fed Square during Live Illustration sessions.
