Sketches from our recent sketchmeet
Got together with some fellow sketchers at Greens & Co over the weekend. Here are some of the sketches I did during the day. Medium used was my new ink-filled brushpens and watercolour.

First caricature of someone as an animal. Apparently someone accidentally mistook “O’Squeal” as “O’Squirrel” and the name stuck. Gold. Also a box of cats for lulz.
Been sketchin alot with ball-point pens on brown paper lately. Pausing live tv at various moments trying to capture challenging angles and whatnot. These were some. Posted a few more caricatures in the same medium over on my new caricature blog.
I decided I needed to display all my caricatures in a single place, rather than scattered throughout multiple posts and pages. So I give you http://caricaturesbyjeff.tumblr.com
They are all there. More to come in the coming weeks. Enjoy
I did this recently for Stefan’s zombie film fundraiser. The zombies are all based on characters in the film. This will probably be advertised in the street press (xpress, drum etc) as well as pasteups around the place. If you see one, send me a pic! Thanks
Also, I will be doing Zombie Caricatures on the night – in conjunction with the zombie face painters.
Event page/fan page on facebook is here, if you want more deet.
Our lecturer Ashley Buckle. I think he must have seen what I was doing, because he kept walking up and sitting with a thump on the desk. I managed though. Better luck next time Buckles!
Noticed a few Danny Trejo sketches floating around on the web lately, so I decided to join the fun. Here is my sketch of Danny Trejo, the most bad-ass face in hollywood. Total time taken approx 1 hr.
A digitally painted caricature of good old Tony. Always getting himself into a biff over something
Meet Benjamin Bones, Richard and Mel. Caricatures of some of the lovely faces you will encounter at the Perth Sketch group meets.
Figured I might as well join the hype and whip up a caricature of Obama while its still hot! I’m really glad he won, I think he will be a great leader.
I made a custom brush for this piece and it worked really well. Also decided to leave most of the underlying pencil work, which I personally feel adds abit of character and depth to the piece, especially when all the rest is digital.
