His face is so much fun to draw. It is so full of lines and character. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a more interesting looking person. Although after familiarising myself with him over 3 seasons, I find the actor (Ian McShane) looks rather strange without his trademark moustache.

I paused the DVD at various scenes and did some rough sketches in colour pencil. I tried to go for strange angles and lighting – just to make things a little challenging.
